Using real-world examples, this session will break down what trademarks are, why you should care about them, and how to avoid common (and expensive) mistakes.

About our Guest: 

Kalie is a lawyer based in Squamish, British Columbia.  She specializes in international commercial disputes and intellectual property, and frequently advises businesses (including outdoor brands!) on trademark issues and strategies. Kalie also teaches Social Media Law and Outdoor Adventure Law at Capilano University and dedicates her summers to competing as a trail runner in the Skyrunner World Series.
